How to merge PDF files without uploading them

You can combine documents in a browser without sending their contents to a processing server. OhhPDF reads the selected PDFs locally, joins their pages and gives you a new file to download.

Open Merge PDFs ↗

Choose the documents and put them in order

  1. Open Merge PDFs and choose at least two PDF files from your device.
  2. Use the file-list arrows to put the documents in the order you want. Every page from the first file comes before the pages from the second.
  3. Run Merge PDFs, then download the combined document. Keep the originals until you have checked your result.

A simple page-order example

If document A has two pages and document B has three, merging A then B produces five pages: A1, A2, B1, B2, B3. This is an example of the ordering rule, not a promise about a particular file’s output size.

To alternate pages from different files, use Alternate & Mix PDF. To move individual pages after merging, use Organize Pages. A file-list arrow changes the order of whole documents; it does not rearrange the pages inside one document.

Check the result before sharing

Open the downloaded PDF and review the first and last page of every source document. Check that landscape pages face the right way and that the total page count matches your inputs.

This operation copies PDF pages. It does not recreate an interactive form workflow, combine document bookmarks into a new outline or preserve a certificate signature as a valid signature on the new document. If a form or signed PDF matters to your workflow, inspect that behavior separately and retain the original.

What stays local, and what uses the network?

Your selected document bytes are processed in the tool tab. The site still downloads its application code from the host, so “no server uploads” does not mean “no internet requests.” This tool page excludes Microsoft Clarity recording. Cookieless traffic measurement starts automatically. Tool visits use a separate counter that receives only the public tool ID and cannot read your documents. Analytics cookies on browsing pages are optional.

Load the tool once while online before trying it offline. Its own assets can be cached in supported browsers. Large files can still exceed your device’s available memory; unlimited use refers to the number of jobs, not unlimited file size.

If a PDF will not open

Use Remove Password with the existing password if the document is encrypted and you are allowed to modify it. A damaged file may need Repair PDF. Repair cannot recover page contents that are missing from the source.

If you only need a few pages from a large file, extract those pages first and merge the smaller documents. This can reduce local memory use.
